Walkersele OSJ is James Walker's proven method for on-site assembly of Walkersele split radial lip seals. For decades, on-site vulcanisation was the only solution to prevent leaks, but it required specialised tools and experienced personnel. With the introduction of OSJ-2 technology in 1991, the modification of a split seal into a continuous seal was successfully realised for the first time.

Walkersele OSJ-2 - Optimised shaft seal for maximum efficiency

The Walkersele® OSJ-2 is an enhanced version of the proven original OSJ system, developed in close co-operation with our customers. Thanks to improved handling and assembly, it enables easier installation - even under difficult conditions and with large shaft diameters.

Optimised functions:

  • New ‘user-friendly’ tensioning strap - for more precise pretensioning
  • Improved assembly device - makes it easier to join the seal ends
  • Optimised temperature measuring strip - for more precise monitoring
  • Available for larger shaft diameters

Walkersele OSJ-2 offers a high quality, reliable and easy to install shaft seal for a wide range of applications.

Sealing profiles

Walkersele & OSJ-2 are available in all shapes with rubber fabric backing.

Materials

Available in three elastomer grades:
✔ Nitrile (NBR)
✔ Fluorocarbon (FKM)
✔ Hydrogenated nitrile (HNBR)

Temperature limits

Heat-resistant up to 150°C, depending on the material.

Sizes

Available for shaft diameters from 60 mm to 2000 mm.
